M is for the million things she gave me
O means that she’s only growing old
T is for the tears she shed to save me
H is for her heart of purest gold
E is for her eyes of sunlight shining
R is right and right she’ll always be
Put them all together they spell MOTHER; a word that means the WORLD to me!!
My siblings and I used to line up Von Trapp Family style and sing this to our Mom for Mother’s Day! I had the “T” part because I was third in line. The funny thing is none of us had “Sound of Music” voices, but we studied our parts, sang our little hearts out, surprised mom and made her day! She could feel our love! Isn’t that what Mother’s Day is all about??

OMG! How sweet that must have been. I can get a visual of all of you kids singing to your Mother. I bet the preperation for the event was just as fun as the event itself. How wonderful. How sweet, and how touching it must have been for your Mother. Would’t that be cool if you all did that as adults for her next year????? Take lots of pictures if you do. Love Ya, Lynnie
